AI for Equity: A Framework for Responsible Philanthropic Investment
Equitable educational solutions depend on deliberate use of new technology, not just on adopting it. Our client, a large education-focused foundation, is working to improve student success, persistence, and economic mobility, and AI has become one of the main tools for scaling personalized learning and support. But if the design of these tools is left entirely to the commercial market, the opportunity gap for underserved learners could widen instead of close. We helped the client build a shared framework for AI fluency and governance so it could direct its investments with more confidence, backing solutions that are fair, secure, financially sustainable, and actually built around the needs of diverse student communities.
